Visual identity and editorial design for Frentistas do Brasil, a cultural project developed by Barro de Chão with the participation of RegularSwitch and support from the Ministry of Culture.
The project offers a sensitive and attentive perspective on gas station attendants, an essential yet often overlooked profession that shapes the everyday rhythm of Brazilian cities, connecting people, journeys and territories.
More than a documentation, the project seeks to reveal the presence of these workers through their gestures, interactions and silent routines, portraying them as constant figures within the urban landscape.
Frentistas do Brasil takes form as a book, the result of a nationwide research journey across all five regions of the country, accompanied by a documentary and a photographic exhibition that extend this narrative and transform lived experiences into memory.
As the first project in Brazil dedicated to this profession, it reflects on presence, dignity, culture and collective memory.
